This section includes small paintings and drawings. These small paintings from 2015 are inspired by Japanese art and a new appreciation for negative space. The last four thumbnails were drawn in 1994 and are a mixture of acrylic wash, pencil, charcoal, and pastel. I made them en plein air so they would be spontaneous and intense. This process led to my acrylic painting technique.
